The symposium reveals new developments, compositions, technologies and thoughts in relation to the long-term Speaker Park project, bringing us up-to-date with this on-going exploration.

Speaker Park can be discribed as an open source sound system consisting of 24 unique sculptural speakers.

The symposium is based on many years of interdisciplinary work with the concert installation Speaker Park. The symposium presents new commissions and earlier repertoire, aimed at a wide general audience, alongside talks aimed at anyone for whom interdisciplinary collaboration, collective processes and gesamtkunstwerk is a field of interest.

During the weekend, the symposium will present 3 different compositions on the Speaker Park. Speaker Park has been designed by two different artists, and four composers have so far composed for the project’s official repertoire. The newest composition will accompany a choreography performed in the installation, while the music is performed live from a remote studio, experimenting with spatial microphone techniques and movement.

The symposium will present reflections and experiences around the work with Speaker Park, in addition to a "hands on" workshop, where participants can try out different techniques for composing on Speaker Park.
